Friends and Family Gather

A Tradition that Feeds the Soul

And Nourishes the Body

One of the reasons that dining at The Chalet Clubdirm3.jpg (31747 bytes) reminds people of visiting a friend's home is the manner in which we have always presented the meals. Our fabulous kitchen staff pride themselves in their creations.  The menus are developed with freshly baked breads, fresh eggs and vegetables from the local farms, and the best meats that we can acquire from our food brokers. Served by our attentive wait staff in the Chalet's dining room or on the dining terrace (weather permitting), your meals will be a vacation unto itself.

Dress for breakfast and lunch is informal. For dinner - gentlemen and   ladies wear casual evening attire (jackets are not required).

Special Diets

Should you wish to maintain a special diet while you are with us, please let us know prior to, or on your arrival. Our chefs are happy to prepare your meals to meet your needs. Below are a few examples of the diets that we have catered to in the past.

bulletVegetarian
bulletLow Fat  / Low Cholesterol

Breakfast      8:00 'til 9:00 AM

Whether you are on the terrace savoring the fresh air, (and feasting on the view to the left of this paragraph) or in the dining room with a crackling fire, everyone seems to relish this first meal of the day. The mountain's well water gives the coffee and tea a clean, rich flavor. Fresh eggs prepared numerous ways, pancakes, bacon, sausage, breads and hot or dry cereals with fresh fruit are some of the choices that you have to break the fast.

Lunch       1:00 PM or Picnic

Hot dogs or hamburgers on homemade rolls, home made soups, salad plates, casseroles, spoon bread, kugel, and dozens of other favorite recipes make lunch a meal that you shouldn't miss. But if you have too many plans for the day or just want to expand your options, we will be happy to prepare a picnic for you.

Happy Hour   5:45 'til 6:30 PM

One of our inquisitive young members asked "What is happy hour?",  to which I replied "It's when we all get together at the end of the day and check to be sure everyone is happy.". Those who wish to join in camaraderie gather in the living room of the main building every evening before dinner. Setups and snacks are provided.

Dinner      6:30 PMfamdiner.jpg (19264 bytes)

If practice makes perfect, then six decades of serving dinner to our guests has given us ample practice. Varieties of fish, poultry, beef, lamb and pork are served with vegetables, bread and a salad. Complete the evening refection with dessert - and Perfection it is!

A variety of dining options are available locally for those on the B&B or European Rate Plans ....
