This wonderful map was reproduced from a vintage 1960's era visitors guide for Hickory Nut Gorge. We have inserted a label for the location of The Chalet Club. The road to the right of the label is Washburn Road.

Many of the camps that are listed on the map no longer exist.

The gorge and the surrounding mountains, the lake, the towns,

Chimney Rock Park, Bottomless Pools and The Chalet Club

continue to remain the constant elements in this view.
