From Nature Tours.... to Horse Shows.... to Craft Fairs

The Chalet Club is centrally located between the small cities and towns of Asheville, Hendersonville, Black Mountain, Tryon, Saluda,   Old Fort and Rutherfordton. The  page ... "Off Mountain" has links that will take you to various web sites that list the plethora of local events that are as eclectic as the varieties of wildflowers and birds that inhabit our mountains in this region. To save you from toggling back... start on Asheville.comcrock.jpg (67403 bytes)

Speaking of which ... you don't have to travel but a few minutes off our mountain to have some wonderful guided tours of the plants and birds on the neighboring mountain at Chimney Rock Park.

Check their web site (by clicking on their underlined title in the previous paragraph) for any additional fees for these events. The general admission to the park is included in our "Activity Packages".

In addition to all of Chimney Rock Park's events, there are other exciting options to consider listed below.

Numerous Festivals, Craft Shows and events are going on throughout the region during all of the seasons.

Shopping is, of course, a "special event" for some. If the thought of being in a relaxed environment while shopping for furniture, arts and crafts, clothing or specialty items, we will be happy to suggest wonderful small town shops and galleries that might lend a  peaceful resonance to your shopping experience this year.

Local events that excite us mountain folk may be as simple as a meteor shower, a full moon shimmering it's light across the granite cliffs of neighboring mountains, the grace of a bald eagle soaring above the valley, or a rainbow highlighting what we always knew ... we are blessed to live in a truly remarkable corner of the world.
