Western North Carolina is not only one of the most beautiful regions of the country, it has an abundance of  attractions that suit the varied interests of those who vacation here. Many of the attractions, such as the Blue Ridge Parkway and Pisgah National Forest, are free of charge. Those who wish to spend the whole day exploring the area can take a picnic lunch prepared by the Chalet staff. While it is impossible for us to list all of the attractions that are available, the following list covers some of our guest's favorites.
