By Car

The Chalet Club is located concentrically within a twenty mile radius of Asheville, Hendersonville, Tryon, Rutherfordton, Marion and Black Mountain. This not only makes it easy for you to get here from any direction - it makes it equally easy to visit these communities while you vacation here. Interstates 40 and 26 are conduits that most motorists utilize when traveling here and like the towns mentioned are twenty miles away from Lake Lure.  Please scroll all the way down this page or print this page to have maps and specific directions to help you find us.

Exit # 85 at Marion onto US 221. Turn left at the top of the ramp and go south on 221 to US 64 (20 miles). Turn Right on 64 and go west to Lake Lure (20 miles)

Exit onto I 26 east and then take Exit # 49A onto US 64 East to Lake Lure (18 miles)

Exit #10 onto US 74 west to Exit #167 and turn right at the top of the ramp onto NC 9 north to Lake Lure ( 15 miles)

Exit onto I 26 west and then take Exit # 67 immediately after passing the NC Welcome Center. Turn right at the top of the ramp onto NC 108. Follow 108 east to Mill Spring ( 6 miles) and turn left onto NC 9. Follow 9 north to Lake Lure. (12 miles)

There are no signs for The Chalet Club

The Chalet Club is located at 532 Washburn Road, 1 mile off of the main highway (US 64 / US 74A / NC 9 which all merge to come through Lake Lure). If you are coming from the east or south, look for the Lake Lure Post Office and Washburn Rd will be the first road to the left after the Post Office. If you are coming from the west, look for the ABC store and Washburn Road will be the first road to the right after you pass the ABC store.

By Air

The Asheville Regional Airport (AVL - 40 minutes from the Chalet) and the Greenville / Spartanburg, South Carolina Airport (GSP - 70 minutes away) are the two facilities that air travelers utilize the most when flying here. Between the two, you or your travel agent will be able to book flights on most of the major carriers with few stops or changes. If these don't produce satisfactory travel choices, Charlotte (CLT) is a larger airport and only 90 minutes away.  

Due to inflated fuel costs, limo and shuttle fares have soared in our region, and renting a car is the most cost effective ground transportation.

And if you were wondering where we were in relation to the lake? This view from the top of Chimney Rock allows you to see the chalet which is the dot on the mountain directly under the "T" of "Chalet" and Charlotte is 90 miles in the distance under the "C" of "Club".
